About Tom Clay
Tom Clay, the company’s founder and president, brings 30-plus years of education/learning-related experience to bear in advising our clients. In addition to more than 20 years as an education/learning consultant, he draws on his strong international background and his experience as founder and managing director of a Fortune 250 company’s corporate university, senior manager in Accenture’s online learning practice, market researcher, teacher, and cultural anthropologist. This eclectic background enables him to meet a wide range of clients’ needs, from project definition, through feasibility planning, business planning, organizational planning, implementation and, finally, project evaluation. Highly experienced in international work, Tom has completed numerous assignments overseas. He has lived in China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Germany and Greece, and done consulting work in Kuwait, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Canada and Italy.
Tom holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in cultural anthropology from the University of Chicago, and a BA in anthropology from Carleton College. He also served as an instructor for Yale University at China’s Tianjin Economic Management Institute, and currently holds an academic appointment as a Research Affiliate at MIT's Sloan School of Management.
